What is Performance Management?

Performance Management is the continuous process of setting employee goals (KRAs/KPIs), monitoring progress, providing feedback, conducting appraisals, and linking results to rewards and development.

Performance Management Cycle

Annual cycle: Goal Setting (April) → Mid-Year Check-In (September) → Year-End Appraisal (February/March) → Rating Calibration → Reward Decisions (salary revision, promotion, bonus). Continuous feedback models (OKRs, 360° feedback) supplement the annual review for fast-growing organisations.
