What is Workspace?
Workspaces in ERPNext are the module home pages (e.g., Accounting, HR, Stock) displaying shortcuts, links, and summary charts relevant to that functional area.
Customising Workspaces
Click the pencil icon on any Workspace to enter edit mode. Add or remove shortcut links, reorder sections, add or remove charts, and add custom quick links to any DocType or report. Save as a private customisation or publish for all users in that role.
Role-Based Workspaces
Each Workspace can be restricted to specific roles. A Sales Executive sees only Sales and CRM links; an Accounts User sees Accounting and Finance. Creating role-specific Workspaces reduces cognitive load and helps new users find their most-used documents quickly.
